Canon Service Tool V5610 is a powerful utility designed to perform maintenance and reset functions on Canon printers. It is widely used for tasks such as resetting ink absorber counters, replacing print heads, and troubleshooting printer errors. One of the most common applications of this tool is to reset the ink absorber counter when the waste ink absorber is full.
When the waste ink absorber is full, the printer may stop functioning properly. Replacing or cleaning the waste ink absorber is necessary to restore operation. After completing the physical maintenance, the Canon Service Tool V5610 is used to reset the waste ink counter, ensuring the printer recognizes the new ink absorber.
Canon Service Tool V5610 is effective in resolving error codes such as 5B00, 5B02, 5B04, 5B14, 1701, 1702, 1700. To use this tool, the printer must be in Service Mode.
Note: If the printer cannot enter Service Mode, resetting with Canon ST V5610 is not possible. In such cases, replacing the EEPROM on the logic board is required.

How to Enter Service Mode on Canon Printer

3. Press and hold the ON button while keeping the Resume/Cancel/Stop button pressed.
4. Release the Resume/Cancel/Stop button but keep holding the ON button.
5. While still holding the ON button, press the Resume/Cancel/Stop button 5 times, then release both buttons simultaneously.
Once the printer is in Service Mode, your computer will detect new hardware, and the printer’s LED light will turn green.
