Description
Description
Original EEPROM firmware binary file for the Epson L396 printer. This file is intended for technical use and is not software. It is a binary file to be used with an EPROM programmer, a manual procedure that involves directly extracting the EEPROM from the printer’s logic board.
Identification
2 Files:
- L1 = 25Q64
- L2 = 25PX16
Requirements
8-pin EEPROM programmer required, we recommend models RT809F or RT809H. After making the purchase, you will receive the file in your email.
Backup Instructions
To back up the information stored in the logic board’s memory, follow these steps:
- Remove the EEPROM(s) from the logic board carefully.
- Place the EEPROM in the EEPROM programmer socket and proceed to read its content to create a backup.
- Save the resulting backup file, which will allow you to recover the information in case of problems during the programming process or any compatibility issues.
- Download the firmware we have sent to your email and program it onto the previously backed up EEPROM.
- Verify that the programming is successful and error-free.
- Once the programming is successfully completed, reattach the EEPROM to its original position on the board. Pay special attention to the pin 1 details to ensure correct orientation.
- Check the solder joints carefully to ensure proper connection.
- Now you can test the equipment. The files available on our site have been tested and approved by our technical team, so the equipment should function correctly.
