Description
The archived binary file contains the original firmware for the Epson T3170 printer, not chipless. This file is intended for technical use and is used with an EPROM programmer. This manual procedure involves extracting the EEPROM from the printer’s logic board directly.
Identification
There are 2 files included:
– L1=IC102=N25Q512
– L2=IC103=N25Q512
Requirements
You will need an 8-pin EEPROM programmer, we recommend the RT809F or RT809H models. After purchasing, you will receive the file via email.
Instructions for Backing Up EEPROM Information
1. Carefully remove the EEPROM(s) from the logic board.
2. Place the EEPROM in the programmer socket and read its content to create a backup.
3. Save the resulting backup file to recover information in case of issues during programming or compatibility problems.
4. Download the firmware sent to your email and program it onto the backed-up EEPROM.
5. Verify successful programming without errors.
6. Reinsert the EEPROM into its original position on the board, paying attention to pin 1 for correct orientation.
7. Check solder joints carefully for proper connection.
