Original EEPROM Firmware File for Epson L4160 Printer
This binary file is not a regular software, but rather a technical file intended for use with an EPROM programmer. The process involves manually extracting the EEPROM from the printer’s logic board.
Identification:
- L1 = IC201 = W25Q128
- L2 = IC202 = IS25LQ016
Requirements:
You will need an 8-pin EEPROM programmer, and we recommend models like RT809F or RT809H. After purchasing, you will receive the file via email.
Backup Procedure:
- Remove the EEPROM(s) from the logic board carefully.
- Place the EEPROM in the programmer’s socket and proceed to read its content for creating a backup.
- Save the resulting backup file to recover the information in case of problems during programming or compatibility issues.
- Download the firmware sent to your email and program it into the previously backed-up EEPROM.
- Verify successful programming without any errors.
- Reinsert the EEPROM back into its original position on the board, paying attention to pin 1 orientation.
- Double-check soldering for a proper connection.
- Now, you can test the printer. Our files are tested and approved by our technical team for proper functionality.
